Flourless Dark Chocolate Cake With Fresh Fruit Topping

  1. Place dates or prunes in a glass dish and pour boiling water over them. Let sit and soften for 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  3. Grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.  
  4. Put dates/prunes and the liquid into a blender. Add eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla and blend until smooth. Add chips and blend until almost smooth. Pour the mixture into a bowl and stir in cacao powder.
  5. Pour the batter into a prepared baking dish. Put in oven and cook for about 35 minutes or until batter is set.
  6. Once it cools, top with berries and enjoy.
