Granola Bites (Protein Balls)
These are a great protein-packed treat that is easy to take along wherever you are heading!
Ingredients

1/4 cup oats
- you can toast in the oven or just leave raw

2 tbsp nuts
- I like them chopped up a bit - pecans and almonds are my fave

1 tbsp peanut butter
- natural; no added sugar

1 1/2 tsp flax seed
- ground

1 1/2 tsp cacao powder
- this is better for you than cocoa powder

1 1/2 tsp coconut oil
- melted

2 1/4 dates
- pitted, soak them in hot water for a few minutes and then drain
Instructions
- Once the dates have soaked, put them in a food processor and pulse until they almost form the consistency of dough.
- Put the date mixture in a bowl and add all the other ingredients.
- Roll the mixture into golf ball sized balls and put them in an airtight container. Store them in the refrigerator.
