Simple Pumpkin Oatmeal

1/2 cup old-fashioned oats

1/4 cup pumpkin puree

1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- or cinnamon

1/4 cup milk
- any kind

1/2 cup water

1 1/2 tsp maple syrup
- if desired; can substitute honey
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine oats, pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, milk, and water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook over a gentle boil for 3 – 4 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 2 to 3 minutes. Add honey or maple syrup, if desired.
