Cutting sugar can be one of the hardest health changes for a lot of people because sugar is highly addictive and it's hiding in so many of the foods we eat, even foods labeled as healthy.

Some studies have suggested that sugar is as addictive as cocaine. People often enjoy the dopamine release sugar provides to balance irritability, emotional lows, and other conditions. Eventually, there is little control over avoiding sugary foods, and a sugar addiction has developed.

Eating healthy doesn't mean you can't enjoy sweet-tasting foods; it's about learning how to prepare foods where you can control the amount of added sugar and use real foods that are packed with nutrients and good for your body. A word of caution, even natural sugars found in fruits need to be consumed in moderation and used as part of a well-balanced diet full of healthy grains and plenty of veggies.

Here are some of our favorite delicious dessert ideas that are healthy and easy to make!
