5 Ways To Make Your Easter Even More Meaningful
April 1, 2025 | Faith
I love Easter. I mean, isn't it so awesome that we have a day set aside to thank Jesus for what He did for us? I also find it to be a fun time to celebrate with family and friends.
In this blog, I've included 5 Ways to make your Easter even more meaningful.
Before we get into it, though, I want to share a little about how my view on the holiday has shifted. You may have heard me share this before, but I did not really know anything about Jesus until I was 40. So for many years, I saw Easter as just a day filled with traditions, eggs, bunnies, and baskets with candy. But once I truly understood the gospel message, everything changed. Now, Easter holds a much deeper meaning, and I am more thankful for this celebration than any other one!
If Jesus had not risen from the dead, our faith would be empty, and we would have no reason to celebrate. But because He rose from the grave, we have been given new life, a promise of eternity, and a relationship with God that can never be broken. My faith in Jesus gives me peace about when my life on earth is over, but it also makes every day that I am still alive more joyful, peaceful, and filled with love.
As the apostle Paul says,
“If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith”
1 Corinthians 15:14
This verse from Paul cuts to the heart of why Easter is so crucial. Without the resurrection, everything about our faith crumbles. The resurrection of Jesus is not just a nice story. It is the celebration of a life-changing victory, a reminder that because He lives, we can live fully in Him.5 Ways To Make Your Easter Celebration Even More Meaningful
Easter is a beautiful opportunity to reflect on God's love and share the joy of Jesus' resurrection with others. One of the best ways to do this is by welcoming people into your home, sharing a meal, and fostering deep conversations around the table. So, let's talk about some ways to out together an Easter celebration that satisfies the body, soul, and spirit.1. Easter Menus
Wonderful messages are often shared in churches all around the world, but I believe the deeper and more meaningful conversations often happen around a table when we are sharing a meal. 2. Creative Easter Basket Ideas (Without Candy!)

- Creative Activities: Coloring books, stickers, or playdough for kids. A sketch book, paints or colored pencils for adults.
- Experiences: A coupon for a fun outing like a picnic, nature walk, or family game night.
- Personalized Touches: A handwritten note of encouragement
- Scripture Cards – A small set of cards with encouraging Bible verses. These can be a source of daily inspiration and reflection.
- Faith-Based Books – Choose a devotional, children’s Bible storybook, or uplifting Christian novel to encourage spiritual growth.
