I love something Mel Robbins said recently: “Changing your habits isn’t about fixing yourself, it’s about aligning with the kind of person you already want to be.” That one stopped me in my tracks, because so many of us start habit changes from the assumption that something is wrong with us.

But what if nothing is “wrong” at all?

What if building new habits isn’t about correcting flaws or forcing discipline, but about living in a way that matches who you already know you want to be? The woman who feels stronger. The woman who has more peace. The woman who shows up with a little more energy and a little less guilt.

When we think we need fixing, habits feel heavy. They turn into punishment. “I should do this.” “I have to change.” “I need to be better.” That’s exhausting. But when habits are about alignment, they feel different. They become choices that support the life you’re moving toward.

Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with me?” try asking, “Who do I want to be, and what would she do today?” Would she do something good for her body? Would she fuel herself instead of skipping meals? Would she talk to God in the middle of her day instead of saving it for later?

This shift changes everything. Habits stop being a checklist and start becoming a way of practicing who you’re becoming. You’re not trying to earn anything. You’re simply living in alignment with what matters to you.

As you move through this 21-day challenge, remember this: you are not starting from scratch, you’re starting from the version of you that already exists in your heart.

Today, choose one habit to work on that lines up with the woman you’re becoming. Not because you need fixing, but because you’re already on your way.
