Laugh at Yourself - Written Message
Reflection:
Laughter is one of the most healing things we can do for ourselves. It lifts our spirits, relieves stress, and helps us see life’s challenges with a lighter heart. Today’s theme is about laughing at yourself-embracing the funny, imperfect moments that make us human. I’m not saying to make fun of yourself in a negative way, but I find laughter is the best way for me to not beat myself up when I mess up. So often, we take ourselves too seriously, but laughter helps us release shame and accept ourselves as we are.
In Proverbs 17:22, it says, “A cheerful heart is good medicine.” When we laugh at ourselves, we stop holding ourselves to impossible standards and allow room for grace. Life is full of mistakes, mishaps, and unexpected moments. Instead of beating yourself up, try to find the humor in it. Laugh at your mistakes and remember that God created you with joy and freedom, not perfection. Today, embrace the lighter side of life and let yourself laugh.
Make sure to watch today’s video because I share some pretty funny stories from my life. When I tell you it’s helpful to laugh at yourself, I’m speaking from experience.
