DAY 9 (Today's message is a bit longer than usual, but please read it all!)

I have a feeling that you're doing this Kickstart Program because you long for good health. In today's video, I talk about knowing your "WHY" and your "HOW". Please don't skip over this. If you don't spend time thinking through these 2 things, you may not reach your goal.

I don't know if you noticed, but in today's video, I am wearing a shirt that says, "LOVE".  You can not read the Bible and look at how Jesus lived and what He said and not realize God's plan is, and always has been, driven by love.

When we're trying to see how we're doing with our physical health, it's best to analyze how we feel to see where we are with your physcial health. Sometimes people look at the scale, how fast they can run a mile, or how many pushups they can do, but these things don't necessarily give you an accurate gauge of your health.

When it comes to your Spiritual Health, I don't think we should look solely at how often we go to church, how many verses we have memorized, or at the things we don't do. There is one question you need to answer that will show where you're at with your Spiritual Health.

How well are you loving others?

I was reading my Bible, and I came across these words in 1 Peter 1:22: “So see to it that you really do love each other intensely with all your heart”.

Peter uses 3 strong words in this one sentence (really, intensely, all). I think it's because he's trying to make a point. Followers of Jesus are called to love differently from others. We're not just called to love those who are easy to love; we are called to LOVE ALL PEOPLE INTENSELY.

If we are following Jesus, then it means we are moving towards loving all people with all our hearts. Not only will this make your own life better, but it will also teach others about Jesus.

"Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:35. Our story of loving others is a way that we can disciple. I hear from so many who struggle with sharing their faith, and I truly believe one of the best ways to make people interested in hearing about Jesus is because of the unique way we love.

The only way we can go and love this way is if we allow God's love to fill us to the point of overflowing. Sit with God today. Let His love fill you. Go pour that love on others.

Something to Think About:

“Though we are incomplete, God loves us completely. Though we are imperfect, He loves us perfectly. Though we may feel lost and without a compass, God's love encompasses us completely. ... He loves every one of us, even those who are flawed, rejected, awkward, sorrowful, or broken.”    - Dieter F. Uchtdorf

This is how you are called to love others. How are you doing with this?

Something to Listen To:

That'll Preach by Zach Williams (This song is so freeing when it comes to sharing our faith. We all have a story that we can share.)

Nutrition Tip:

Eat whole foods - the simplest way to avoid preservatives, hidden sugars, and too much salt is to eat whole foods. FW Nutrition Basics: God created you. God created food. Eat what God created in its most natural state.
